DB SCHENKER CLASS 37

Soon after starting this blog I managed to contract a nasty dose of Swine Flu, which has been doing the rounds recently. No fun there, but thank heavens for Tamiflu.

Now back at the grind for Model Rail, I'm taking the chance to finish some long-standing projects. First to be signed-off is this DB Schenker-liveried Class 37, 37419. This is a repainted and enhanced Vi-Trains model, painted with Railmatch enamels and adorned with decals from Precision Labels. Opinion is split about the Deutsche Bahn colours being applied to classic British locomotives, but I think it looks pretty smart. In truth, though, I can't imagine that DB will keep the 37s going for much longer anyway.

Look out for a full demo on detailing and repainting in Model Rail in the coming months.
